Group Supports Efforts to Bolster Teacher Effectiveness
The Associated General Contractors of Texas - Highway, Heavy, Utilities and Industrial Branch, has adopted a resolution in support of the Governor’s Business Council’s “Excellence in the Classroom” recommendations to improve public education by bolstering teacher effectiveness.
“As the needs of today’s students change and competition from the globe intensifies, we must provide teachers with the tools they need to deliver the kind of education our students deserve,” according to the resolution.
“We are proud to have the support of the Associated General Contractors, whose members are committed to a Texas education system that is globally competitive,” said Charles McMahen, chairman of Texans for Excellence in the Classroom.
